Hi all! This is Cindy, sitting in for Laura. Laura got in touch briefly — she’s returned from her Antarctic cruise, which she said was wonderful. She had only enough time to email me a few photos. Enjoy:

    I don’t know the whole story behind Mr. Toast. Care to fill me in??

    I don’t know the full story either, but I think Mr. Toast joined Laura in her travels in Japan. He’s a handsome fellow, cute even, but quiet. He’s been photographed everywhere.

    Corn nut is way cuter. But Mr. Toast has a kind of international charm that’s hard to deny.
