Bolivia!

Hola from Potosi, Bolivia. Home to the biggest and most deadly silver mine in the history of the world. Tommorrow I go down under to inhale the sulfuric acid and meet the miners. Only 12,000,000 dead since some sheep herder discovered silver here about 400 years ago.
The last few weeks in the high deserts of Argetina, Chile and Bolivia have been EXCELLENT! Updates and photos are coming soon, but the short story is that you should all find a way to get yourselves to San Pedro de Atacama in northern Chile ASAP. From there it’s a cake walk to set up a three day tour to Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia. These high desert salt lakes and salt plains (we are talking 12,000+ feet high) are unbelievable. Bitter cold, frequent altitude headaches and nausea, yes, but just fantastic. For me, this is one of the best places on earth (Antarctica still number 1). I’d like to show you a picture right now but the internet connect here kinda sucks. Actually my pictures kinda suck anyway. It was really difficult to take good pictures of hundreds of miles of basins, lakes, and volcanos.
Stay tuned….
Hi laura! Yeah, whatever about the “I suck at photography” comments. We want more pictures! the ones I’ve seen are pretty flippin’ good, so start uploading!
I suppose we’ll just have to wait until you get back to give us a slideshow.
